Carbonara

How would you define the creamy taste of a Carbonara? It's somewhat similar to cooking a traditional Spaghetti but it only differs with the sauce and the toppings. Carbonara consists of white sauce cooked together with mushrooms, cheese and bacon bits. This dish is usually served at some local cafeteria with different ways of preparing the white sauce. But what makes a special Carbonara is the simplicity of cooking it with just cream and milk. We'll show you how to prepare it. Here it is.

Ingredients:

1/2 kl Spaghetti Pasta
1/4 kl Bacon, cooked and sliced into small bites
3/4 c canned button mushrooms
1 tetra Pack All Purpose Cream
1 small can Evaporated milk
2 tbsp butter
1/2 c grated cheese
salt and pepper to taste
chopped Parsley for garnish (optional)

Procedure:

1. Cook the Pasta until Al Dente. (see our Food tips).
2. Meanwhile, in a skillet over low heat melt the butter and saute the mushrooms for 4 to 5 minutes until lightly browned. Don't overcrowd the mushrooms in the pan as this causes the mushrooms to water out. Add the All Purpose Cream and Evaporated milk. Give it a good stir until creamy.
3. Add the cooked bacon bits. Simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Add the grated cheese, mix well together with the salt and pepper for some added taste.
5. Stir well until done and pour the sauce into the Pasta, mix and garnish with some chopped Parsley. Or just arrange the pasta on a platter and top it with the sauce and chopped Parsley. Take your camera. Click. Post. Eat. Enjoy!

Sweet style Spaghetti

Why is this Spaghetti is such a big hit specially among kids and the kids alike? Probably because of the tempting sweetness of the sauce, the sliced hotdogs and the cheese toppings that most of us can't resist. Every Birthday party should have this. Here's the most favorite style of Spaghetti that we all love! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 kl Spaghetti
1/2 kilo ground beef
1/4 kl hotdogs, sliced diagonally
4 pouch of sweet style tomato sauce (250 g each)
1/2 c evaporated milk
1/4 c white sugar
5 cloves onion, minced
1 medium onion, minced
salt and pepper to taste
grated cheese for toppings
cooking oil for sauteing

Procedure:

1. In a pot of boiling water add some 1 to 2 tbsp of salt then add the pasta. The salt gives the pasta a flavor. Don't put too much water on the pot, just enough to boil the pasta.
2. Stir the pasta during 1 to 2 minutes of cooking to prevent the strands from sticking together. Putting oil doesn't help with this concern, instead it only slides the sauce into it.
3. When it's al dente, remove from heat and put the pasta into the strainer and add some water into it. Set it aside.
4. In a skillet over medium heat, put the oil and saute the onion and the garlic then add the ground beef. Cook until the pinkish color is gone.
5. Pour the tomato sauce and add the sliced hotdogs, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
6. Add the evaporated milk and the sugar, stir well. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Give it a taste and adjust the sweetness of the sauce according to your preference by adding more sugar. Simmer for 3 minutes.
7. Remove the sauce from heat. You can either mix all the sauce with the pasta or just top some enough sauce to a plate of pasta and sprinkle with grated cheese. Garnish with a little parsley on top for a final touch and for some Instagram worthy picture! Enjoy!

Fettuccine

Fettuccine is one of the simplest and oldest way to cook pasta. It usually uses butter and cheese to liquefy the pasta so it would give the coating and richness of flavor in it. This pasta dish mainly uses Parmesan Cheese but for our own version we used quickmelt cheese instead. Aside from the fact that it's more cheaper than parmesan, it also gives a richer flavor.

Ingredients:

1 kilo pasta, flat noodles
1/2 kilo ground beef
1/4 kilo hotdog, sliced
2 pcs. all purpose cream, 250 mL
2 pcs. evaporated milk, 370 mL
2 pcs. beef broth cubes
1 pc. quickmelt cheese, shredded 110 g
5 pcs. onion, minced
5 cloves garlic, minced
butter, 50 g
2 tbsp. oil
5 cups water
2 liters water (for pasta)
salt and pepper

Procedure:

1. In a pan, boil 2 liters of water and put pasta noodles, oil and salt. Cook noodles according to the instructions indicated at the back of the noodle pack or until al dente. Set aside.
2. In a sauce pan, melt butter.
3. Saute onion and garlic for 1 minute.
4. Add in ground beef, hotdog and cook until it turns brown or cooked.
5. Season with salt and pepper and add beef broth cubes.
6. Add in water, all purpose cream, evaporated milk and shredded cheese. Simmer for 5 minutes.
7. Combine the pasta noodles with the sauce and stir until well blended.
8. Serve and enjoy!
